Daily 10 AM to 2 PM
Week 1
- Day 1: Fundamentals of Molecular Diagnostics. DNA and RNA based diagnostics (structural and expression)
- Day 2: Major techniques of MDx in ID, Oncology and genetic disorders
- Day 3: Recommendations and guidelines for molecular testing. Theoretical understanding of QPCR, Microarray, ddCPCR and NGS in molecular diagnostics (Liquid Biopsy, NIPT)
- Day 4: Biosafety practices, Good laboratory practices (GLPs), Nucleic acid extraction methods
- Day 5: Conventional PCR, Agarose gel electrophoresis and DNA/RNA QC techniques
- Day 6: Real Time PCR detailed concepts and instrumentation
Week 2
- Day 1: Sample preparation: DNA / RNA isolation and QC
- Day 2: QPCR set up and software
- Day 3: Data analysis and interpretation
- Day 4: Visit to NGS or Microarray lab (based on availability)
- Day 5: Best practices, Case studies, QA, test and certification, Complementary career counseling and placement support.
